My birthday
Today is the 31st of January. It is my birthday. Today I am ten. It is Sunday and I do not go to school.The weather is fine. I get up at eight o"clock, wash and dress. Then mummy and daddy come into my room and say: “Happy birthday, Happy birthday!” Here is a little present for you. They give me a nice book with a lot of pictures. I like reading such books with the pictures.
My little sister comes to me too and gives me her present. It is a picture of a cat. I thank my sister. I’m so happy today.
Today we are going to have a birthday party. At twelve o’clock my friends come to my place. They wish me a happy birthday and give me their presents: books, toys and pictures. I thank them all.
My mother comes and invites us to the living room. There we see a huge birthday cake on the table. We eat the cake, drink tea and chatter about our school and our friends. Then we play, sing and dance. After the party we all go to the cinema and watch an interesting film.
I am happy to have a nice day with my friends.

Должна сказать, я очень люблю получать подарки, а кто не любит? Они отражают чувства и отношение людей к нам. Я очень благодарна моей семье за все подарки, которые получаю.
Организация праздника
В свой день рождения я встаю довольно рано, чтобы пойти в магазин и купить все, что необходимо для празднования. Я приглашаю друзей заранее; я звоню им или посылаю приглашение. Праздничный торт – неотъемлемая часть этого праздника. Несмотря на то, что с каждым годом я становлюсь старше, мне по-прежнему нравится задувать свечи. Мне очень нравится праздновать свой День рождения. Такие встречи – это шанс провести вечер или целый день вместе с лучшими друзьями, петь песни, танцевать, играть в различные игры, болтать о жизни и о будущем, иными словами, веселиться. Я искреннее верю, что мои друзья ценят этот день так же, как и я.
Заключение
День рождения считается веселым праздником, однако иногда нам становится немного грустно, потому что еще один год нашей жизни оказывается позади. Но несмотря на все это, я всегда с нетерпением жду своего Дня рождения.

My birthday
My favourite holiday
My birthday is on the 10th of August. I should say it’s a remarkable day for me and one of my favourite holidays. Besides, I think I’m lucky to have my birthday in summer. Therefore I have an opportunity to celebrate it somewhere outside the house, for example by the riverside. In fact, that’s what we usually do if there’s no rain.
First congratulations
The very first people to congratulate me and to give presents are my parents. Early in the morning they look into my room and say “Happy birthday”. They always buy me useful presents. I should say I really enjoy getting presents and I wonder who doesn’t. They express people’s feeling and attitude towards us. I’m very thankful for everything I get.
Birthday Party Planning
On my birthday I usually get up quite early in order to go to the supermarket and buy all the things I need for the party. I invite my friends in advance by calling them or sending an invitation card. I prefer to have four or five people, just my closest friends. As for my parents and relatives, we get together some other time for tea and a birthday cake. If I stay at home for my birthday party and have to cook I do it myself. If we go on a picnic we cook meat over the fire and take some cooked food as well. Being a tidy person I always clean my flat before having guests.
Getting together
A birthday cake is an integral part of this holiday. In spite of getting older each year I like blowing the candles out. I’m fond of my birthday parties. It’s a good chance to meet your best friends and to spend an evening or even a whole day all together singing songs, dancing, playing games, talking about our life and future, in other words to have a lot of fun. I truly believe that my friends appreciate this day as much as I do.
Conclusion
Birthday is considered to be a happy holiday, however, sometimes we feel a bit sad that one more year of our life is left behind. All in all, I always look forward to celebrating my birthday.
Birthday is such a wonderful day for everybody! Many people like to celebrate it. On this day you are in the centre of attention. You can spend time with your parents, friends and relatives and get a lot of presents. People like their birthdays because of the presents, too.
I was born on the 15th of June. Birthday is a very remarkable day for me. It is the beginning of summer so the weather is usually great!

Usually we go for a picnic on my birthday, but his year I want to have my birthday party at home. I will celebrate my birthday on Saturday so everybody can come. We have invited my friends and relatives to the party. There will be 12 people. We usually have big parties at home and like to meet guests. My parents help me organize this party. My father and I go shopping to buy food and everything we need for the party and my mom stays at home to start cooking. She also lays the table, she does it perfectly. When we come back I start helping my mom with cooking in the kitchen. We cook a lot of tasty food. When everything is ready we dress up, make our hair and wait for the guests.
At five o"clock my relatives and friends arrive to congratulate me and I am happy to see them. They bring a lot of flowers, presents, postcards and sweets. I have got a lot of nice presents - a computer, a couple of DVD’s, a yo-yo, postcards and money. I thank them all.
I usually enjoy my birthday parties. We have a good holiday dinner and everybody is merry. We dance, make jokes, sing karaoke, play games, speak about different things and don’t forget about tasty things on the table. My mom brings the birthday cake and I blow the candles out.
Everyone enjoys the party very much. After the party we go for a walk. This is one of the best holidays for me.
